Jelly Roll treated his packed-out Austin, Texas crowd to a special appearance from Lainey Wilson, with the two artists serenading attendees with their much-loved duet, ‘Save Me’.
The collaboration appeared on Jelly Roll's widely acclaimed 2023 album, Whitsitt Chapel, with ‘Save Me’ being sent to Country Radio towards the start of September.
Originally being released as a solo cut by Jelly Roll as part of his 2020 Self-Medicated project, the introduction of Lainey brings an extra layer of intensity to the introspective, soul-searching ballad.
This was showcased at Austin's Germania Insurance Amphitheater, when the two country titans combined to deliver a spectacular, spine-tingling live rendition of the collaboration.
Jelly Roll has been regularly performing ‘Save Me’ by himself as part of his 2023 Backroad Baptism tour setlist, so Lainey Wilson's emergence onto the stage was a total surprise to the audience, who greeted her appearance with a chorus of fervent cheers and screams.
Jelly Roll has taken an array of big-name acts with him out on the road this year, with the ‘Need A Favor’ hitmaker recently bringing out Ashley McBryde for a cover of Lynyrd Skynyrd's ‘Simple Man’.
‘Save Me’ continues to scale the Mediabase Country Songs chart, with the duet having already surged into the Top 30 barely three weeks after it was officially shipped to Country Radio.
Many are tipping ‘Save Me’ to become the latest chart-topper in Jelly Roll and Lainey Wilson's formidable repertoires, with the latter's ‘Watermelon Moonshine’ expected to become the Bell Bottom Country star's fifth No. 1 in the next few days.
