The 2023 ACM Awards nominations have now been revealed, and country-rock maverick HARDY is out in front with a staggering seven nods ahead of the Texas ceremony.

HARDY has been having a blockbuster year, having dropped his rule-breaking, genre-blending new album, the mockingbird & THE CROW, in January.

He's also made a series of high-profile TV appearances, as well as enjoying a successful 2023 CMT Awards last month.

One of the lead singles from that project, the Lainey Wilson-assisted ‘wait in the truck’, has been nominated for 2023 ACM Song of the Year, Music Event of the Year and Visual Media of the Year.

In addition to being nominated for Song of the Year and Music Event of the Year as one of the main artists on ‘wait in the truck’, HARDY also receives an extra nod in each category as one of the track's co-writers and producers respectively.

Given the murder ballad's hauntingly cinematic music video, as well as the fact that it won the 2023 CMT award for Collaborative Video of the Year, many are already tipping it to triumph in the 2023 ACM Visual Media of the Year category.

In addition to those, the Mississippi songsmith has also received another nomination for Song of the Year for Morgan Wallen's sun-soaked heartbreak anthem, ‘Sand In My Boots’, which HARDY co-wrote alongside Ashley Gorley and Josh Osborne.

The captivating ballad appeared on Wallen's record-breaking 2021 album, Dangerous, with HARDY having penned a slew of fan-favourites from the project.

It's no surprise, therefore, that HARDY also picks up a 2023 ACM Awards nomination for Artist-Songwriter of the Year.

He'll be battling it out in the category with Luke Combs and Miranda Lambert, along with his good buddies, Morgan Wallen and Ernest.
