Two of country music's biggest stars, Garth Brooks and Dolly Parton, have been announced as the hosts of the 2023 ACM Awards, which are due to take place in Frisco, Texas on May 11.
It will mark Garth's first ever time hosting an awards ceremony, while it's Dolly's second consecutive year at the helm of the ACMs, which will stream live on Amazon Prime Video.
Speaking about the prospect of taking the stage with his new co-host, Garth Brooks quipped, “Anyone with Dolly Parton makes a fantastic couple”. Dolly echoed his excitement at the pairing, “While I’ve had the pleasure of spending time with him throughout the years, I can’t believe we’ve never had the chance to work together.”
Dolly Parton also revealed that she'd be premiering the lead single from her new rock-inspired album, Rock Star, during the ceremony. The news of the project came shortly after the Tennessee megastar was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame towards the end of last year.
Fans will be curious to see whether ‘Friends in Low Places’ superstar, Garth Brooks, will also be serenading ACM viewers with a performance, or whether he'll strictly be on hosting duties for the evening.
