Gavin Adcock has sent his fans into full detective mode after teasing what appears to be his next album.
Adcock shared a cryptic Instagram post featuring a collection of handwritten song titles with food and drink splashed across a table, with most of the tracks blurred out. While Adcock hasn't officially announced a new record just yet, this teaser means it now feels inevitable.
The one thing we do know for sure is that Adcock's new single, ‘The Day I Hang It Up’ will arrive on Friday, July 17th, with the country up-and-comer captioning the post simply, "I ain't goin nowhere." Fittingly, the song also lends its name to his current The Day I Hang It Up Tour, suggesting this next chapter has been in motion for some time. But maybe also settling any speculation that he's taking time out given the title of the tour.
Alongside the new single, the teaser reveals a handful of other track titles, including 'Wannabe' and 'Cheap Thrills', while three of the blurred notes have "collab" scribbled beside them. Naturally, that has sparked plenty of speculation over who could be joining Adcock on the album. And here at Holler, we’ve decided it would be rude not to join in.
So, we’ve done the detective work for you on who could feature, and if there is one name that feels like a safe bet, it's Hudson Westbrook. The pair debuted 'Cheap Thrills' together on the Grand Ole Opry stage before officially releasing the track earlier this year, making another collaboration feel entirely possible.
ERNEST has also liked the post and has shown love to Adcock in the past, possibly hinting either he’s written some of the tracks and maybe even appears as a guest on the project.
Beyond that, Adcock's current tour has him sharing stages with artists including Braxton Keith, Corey Kent, Jake Worthington, Pecos & The Rooftops, Tyler Nance and The Creekers, any of whom could easily fit into Gavin's musical world if more guest appearances are on the cards. Our wild card bet is Koe Wetzel, as fans have wanted a collab for ages and they’ve performed together before.
Interestingly, fans have been getting a sneak preview of Adcock's new song during his tour of the same name. ‘The Day I Hang It Up', 'Wannabe', 'Need To' and 'Cheap Thrills' have all appeared in Adcock's recent live sets, suggesting he's quietly been road-testing new material, but he’s not giving much else away.
The teaser photo itself also feels intentional. Between the Ford truck key, takeaway breakfast boxes, spilled coffee and handwritten scraps of paper, it looks less like a polished label rollout and more like a snapshot from life on the road. Whether that's by design or not, it perfectly captures the blue collar, unfiltered identity Adcock has built his career around.
As for the blurred out song-titles? Gavin isn't giving much away just yet. But if this teaser is anything to go by, he seems - his fans seem - to enjoy this approach...
