Ernest will usher in a “New Era” with the release of his hotly anticipated single, ‘Kiss Of Death’, with the Nashville native having teased the track a number of times in recent weeks.
After including ‘Kiss Of Death’ in the setlist for his recent headlining show in Rosemont, Illinois, fans have been clamouring for Ernest to make the fiery love-song available as soon as possible.
It seems the ‘Flower Shops’ hitmaker has listened to his fans’ pleading calls, with Ernest today confirming across his socials that ‘Kiss Of Death’ will be released this Friday (October 27).
The stormy track finds Ernest stepping back into the shoes of the starry-eyed romantic from Flower Shops: Two Dozen Roses stand-outs such as ‘Hill’ and ‘Wild Wild West’, as he describes the inescapable hold his wife, Delaney, has over him.
Excitingly, it seems ‘Kiss Of Death’ will be the first song from Ernest's upcoming Flower Shops: Two Dozen Roses follow-up, with the singer-songwriter outlining underlining that this track will kick off a brand new musical era for the ‘Miss That Girl’ crooner.
As a result of this being a ‘New Era’ for Ernest, it remains to be seen whether his already-released Mother's Day ode to Delaney, ‘Takes After You’, will make its way onto the new record's tracklist.
News of the impending release of ‘Kiss Of Death’ arrives less than a month after Ernest dropped his acoustic album, Ernest & The Fellas Unplugged, which featured revamped versions of fan-favourites such as ‘This Fire’, ‘What Have I Got To Lose’ and ’Feet Wanna Run’.
