Nashville's go-to hitmaker, Ernest, will release a new live project, Ernest & The Fellas Unplugged, with a special double-sided vinyl being made available on September 29.
Ernest & The Fellas Unplugged will feature ten tracks, and will consist of the official audio from Ernest's previously shared Circle Sessions and Salvage Sessions.
Ernest has been dropping these acoustic videos over the past few months, with the Circle Sessions having been recorded on the hallowed Grand Ole Opry stage. The Salvage Sessions, on the other hand, were captured in an atmospheric scrapyard, which accentuated the broken-down, stripped-back feel of the songs.
The new live record will include stand-outs from Ernest's acclaimed 2022 album, Flower Shops, along with the thirteen new tracks featured on his deluxe Two Dozen Roses project.
‘This Fire’, ‘What Have I Got To Lose’, ‘Wild Wild West’, ‘Done At A Bar’, ‘Unhang The Moon’, ‘Miss That Girl’, ‘Comfortable When I'm Crazy’, ‘Songs We Used To Sing’ and ‘Feet Wanna Run’ have all made the cut, while Ernest's much-loved cover of John Mayer's ‘Slow Dancing in a Burning Room’ will also be included on the live album.
Speaking ahead of the project's release, Ernest underlined how his live shows have influenced which songs have been included on Ernest & The Fellas Unplugged, “Flower Shops has been such a wild ride. I can't put words to how much the love and support for the album and its deluxe means to me. Now that we're getting ready to be back out on the road headlining this fall, it only felt right that the fellas and I wrap up this chapter with live versions of some of our favourites to play live”.
After he concludes his Flower Shops era with this new live project, listeners will be looking forward to hearing the new material Ernest has been teasing in recent weeks. The fast-emerging artist has confirmed he'd started work on a new studio album, which will feature HARDY.
