Riley Green and Ella Langley took to the Bridgestone Arena stage on Wednesday night (November 20) to perform their smash hit 'You Look Like You Love Me' during the 58th annual CMA Awards in Nashville, Tennessee.
The duo, who have lit up the genre with their beloved duets in the last year, were one of the highlights on the night, bringing the charm and wit of their ever so popular song to the big stage for a celebratory performance.
If anyone's going to make an argument for the return of the classic countrypolitan duets of the '70s, it's these two. They've got a fairly strong case n' all, Langley sways and stomps across the honky-tonk stage as Green peers out from under his cowboy hat and burly voice for one of the biggest singalongs of the year.
The song has crossed the mainstream, and the performance tonight felt like a celebration of that. Whether they won an award or not, both artists can take stock on what has been a record year for each of them, cementing them as front-running country staples as well as a fiery and beloved country duo.
The pair have both released critically acclaimed albums this year - back in August, Langley dropped her supreme debut album, Hungover, while Green shared his latest record, Don't Mind If I Do, last month (October 18). The latter featured the other of the duo's famed duets, the sorrowful 'Don't Mind If I Do'.
The 58th Annual CMA Awards took place at The Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee and saw familiar duo Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning joined by their new star host, 2023 Entertainer of the Year Lainey Wilson.
You can watch back the entire 2024 ceremony now on Hulu in the US, with UK country fans able to watch it back for the first time on BBC iplayer.
