Dustin Lynch set the TidalWave Festival tone on Saturday night (August 12) ahead of the evening's final performance from Jason Aldean.
In good company on the main stage, which also featured Saturday sets from Corey Kent, Hailey Whitters, Dylan Scott and Mitchell Tenpenny, Dustin Lynch proved why he's been one of country music's most consistent hitmakers over the last ten years.
Often flying under the radar amongst the genre's heavy hitters, Lynch reminded TidalWave attendees of just how many hits are in his arsenal – eight of which have earned the Oklahoma native a trip to the peak spot on the country charts.
Taking fans through just over a decade of his catalogue, the 'Party Mode' singer brought just that as he gave some high voltage performances of 'Where It's At,' 'Hell of a Night,' 'Mind Reader,' 'Momma's House' and more, which the packed audience happily gobbled up.
Lynch also brought the energy down for a tick or two with some of his more reserved tunes like 'Small Town Boy,' 'Ridin' Roads' and his debut single 'Cowboys and Angels.' Donning his signature cowboy hat, Lynch also treated festival-goers to his take of Toby Keith's iconic 'Should've Been A Cowboy.'
Becoming one of the staples in his decade-long career, Lynch couldn't leave the stage before playing his history-making duet with MacKenzie Porter, 'Thinking 'Bout You,' and the TidalWave crowd was in luck seeing as Porter was on hand for the Atlantic City beachside throwdown.
The packed-out Saturday night audience screamed every word back with a tangible fervor that carried into Aldean's final set of the night.
The 2023 edition of TidalWave is providing plenty of sizzling performances from some of country's biggest stars and fastest-rising newcomers as we celebrate the last days of summer.
After 2022's hell raising inaugural weekend, this year is racking up to once again be Atlantic City's new favorite country music festival, as we revel in performances from Hailey Whitters, Corey Kent and Cole Swindell, who'll take to the stage throughout the three-day beach bash.
