“Deserved!”: Megan Moroney Heartwarmingly Responds to Kenny Chesney Being Voted into the Country Music Hall of Fame

After it was revealed that Kenny Chesney, Tony Brown and June Carter Cash would be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame, it was the consensus that each of these decorated artists had undoubtedly earned their spot in the prestigious institution.

It wasn't just fans that celebrated Kenny Chesney being voted into the Country Music Hall of Fame - a number of his fellow artists have also paid tribute to the ‘I Go Back’ hitmaker.

Kenny Chesney's close friend and 2024 Sun Goes Down tour-mate, Megan Moroney immediately responded to the news via Chesney's Instagram page, after the Tropical Country trailblazer expressed his gratitude at receiving the coveted honour.

The ‘Tennessee Orange’ singer-songwriter simply commented under Kenny Chesney's jubilant Instagram post, “Deserved!!!!” - and it's safe to say we couldn't agree more.

Kenny Chesney and Megan Moroney's friendship has endearingly blossomed over the past six months or so, with the duo spending time on vacation together following the conclusion of their hugely popular summer stadium tour. Moroney also paid homage to the country legend with a cover of Chesney's ‘Knowing You’ earlier in the year, donning the much-loved ballad “One of my fav KC songs”.

Heartwarmingly, Megan Moroney is always quick to toast Kenny Chesney's achievements and milestones, with the ‘Am I Okay?’ crooner reacting to Chesney's announcement of his first ever book, HEART.LIFE.MUSIC, by gushing ‘Can't wait omg’.

When Kenny Chesney unveiled his blockbuster Sphere Las Vegas residency in January, Megan Moroney returned to the comments section to share a cryptic “eyes looking” emoji.

Some have interpreted this as a hint that Megan Moroney might be one of the “special guests” during these Vegas shows, with Kenny Chesney teasing that he'll be bringing some fellow artists out throughout the highly anticipated residency next month.

Brandi Cyrus has been confirmed as the main support, with Cyrus delivering a DJ set before each show at the immersive, innovative venue. It'll be fascinating to see what other surprises Kenny Chesney has up his metaphorical sleeve (even though he'll no doubt be wearing his signature sleeveless tank-top...!) for the 15-date run.
