After revealing that he'd be releasing his first new single in months, ‘Evangelina’, Colter Wall has followed this up by treating fans to another exciting announcement.

The Saskatchewan cowboy has confirmed that ‘Evangelina’ will be the lead single from his brand new album, Little Songs, which is due to be released on July 14.

It appears the new project will feature a combination of covers and original songs. Fans will be eager to hear Colter Wall's rendition of Ian Tyson's ‘The Coyote and The Cowboy’ on the record, which Wall has performed in the past during his live shows.

Little Songs will also include tracks such as ‘Coralling the Blues’, ‘Cow/Calf Blue Yodel’ and ‘Honky Tonk Nighthawk’, the latter of which Colter Wall has also been teasing during a number of live performances.

Excitingly, ‘The Last Loving Words’ features on the Little Songs tracklist too, with Colter Wall having shared a rustic, stripped-back video of him playing the heartfelt ballad back in early February. Ever since, fans have been clamouring for it to receive an official release, and it seems they'll be getting their wish on July 14.

Judging by the song-titles set to be included on Little Songs, Colter Wall will be staying true to the classic, traditional-leaning aesthetic that has earned him such a loyal fanbase over the years.

Little Songs will be the first full-length project from Colter Wall since his widely acclaimed 2020 project, Wester Swing & Waltzes and Other Punchy Songs, which also featured a refreshing blend of covers and originals. He recently donated all new proceeds from his 2020 record to his friend, Sandy, to aid his recovery from a life-threatening injury.
