Cody Johnson has followed up a successful CMA Awards 2022 with his first ever Grammy nomination. Johnson's single, ‘‘Til You Can't’, has been nominated by the Recording Academy for Best Country Song.
‘‘Til You Can't’ won the 2022 CMA awards for Single of the Year and Music Video of the Year, and members of Johnson's CoJo Nation fanbase will be hoping the song will enjoy similar success at the 2023 Grammys.
The song, which was penned by Ben Stennis and Matt Rogers, serves up a sonic dose of carpe diem, and is taken from Johnson's chart-topping 2021 project, Human: The Double Album.
The nomination comes as Cody Johnson gears up to release a brand new live album, Cody Johnson & The Rockin’ CJB Live, in early December.
Also up for the 2023 Grammy award for Best Country Song are heavyweight artists such as Maren Morris, Luke Combs and Taylor Swift.
It looks set to be one of the most hotly contested categories at February's Grammys.
