Rain, shine or torrential downpour, when Carrie Underwood has the mic, she is going to give it her all no matter what. She proved that Sunday (June 9) during her headlining set at the Carolina Country Music Fest in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
After a powerhouse display, rife with nearly two dozen of her career-spanning hits, the country sensation closed out her show with a rather wet bang when the bottom fell out and left the artist to stomp and sing her classic 'Before He Cheats' under sheets of precipitation. That was no match for the hitmaker, who poured out the closing performance of a lifetime.
"We won’t let a little rain stop us," she shared on social media following the showcase. "We won’t let a massive downpour stop us, either!"
Underwood is no stranger to epic onstage moments. Her string of Sin City shows, Reflection: The Las Vegas Residency, are full of them and likely prepared her for a such a splashy set Sunday night.
The artist will spend the summer topping bills at fests like Chicago's Windy City Smokeout 2024, and will be back in Vegas for another fall full of unforgettable Carrie moments come rain, sleet or Armageddon.
