Ella Langley, Tyler Childers and 3 More Artists We Need to Hear on Post Malone’s ‘The Eternal Buzz’

Post Malone continues to tease his new album, The Eternal Buzz, and with the ’Sunflower’ hitmaker postponing his Australia, New Zealand and Asia shows to seemingly finish up the project, it feels like we're inching ever closer to an official release date.

Given the fact that Post shared an empty tracklist earlier in the year with the album split into two ‘Discs’, with 20 songs apiece, it feels like a given that this project will be half-country, and half-trap. Post has been teasing a return to his earlier trap-leaning Stoney sound - with the viral ‘Chrome Heartbreaker’ rumoured to be the lead single - but he's also been hitting the studio with some of his F-1Trillion country collaborators, like ERNEST, so we reckon there'll be an even mix of the two.

On this basis, we've got a whopping 20 new country songs to look forward to from Post, and if F-1Trillion is anything to go by, we think it's safe to assume there'll be plenty of features.

We suspect there'll be some returning characters, like Jelly Roll - Post's 2026 tour-mate - and ERNEST. But we've compiled a list of country artists we'd like to see the ‘Chemical’ singer-songwriter linking up with for the first time on The Eternal Buzz.

1. Ella Langley

This one just makes sense. Back in 2024, Post's F-1Trillion guestlist included virtually every country star in Nashville, with the New York native teaming up with modern titans like Morgan Wallen, Lainey Wilson and Luke Combs, as well as tipping his camo cap to legends of the genre like the late Dolly Parton, Hank Williams, Jr. and Tim McGraw.

In 2024, Ella Langley was still an up-and-coming artist - but now, she's one of the biggest country stars on the planet, with ‘Choosin‘ Texas’ on track to set a record for the longest Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 of all time. She has no problem flitting between genres, with Langley teaming up with BigXthaPlug for the fiery ‘Hell at Night’ last summer, so she'd be able to more than match Post's genre-blurring tendencies.

If Langley is featured on The Eternal Buzz, you'd have to assume that this collaboration would be the marquee lead single in the form of 2024's ‘I Had Some Help’ with Wallen.

2. Thomas Rhett

Post and Thomas Rhett have been buddies for years now, and the ‘rockstar’ crooner confirmed in a 2026 Billboard interview that he's been working with Rhett on his new project.

With Rhett another artist that has a strong track record of incorporating sounds outside of country, embracing textures from R&B and pop, we could see him and Post exploring a genre-blurring offering. We also know Rhett has an ear for a killer hook, something he's showcased time and again, and this duet is sure to be a certified heater.

3. Shania Twain

We all remember the iconic video of Post dancing to Shania Twain's performance at the 2019 AMAs, a moment many now cite as Post's first flirtation with country.

As a result, it felt like a shame that the ‘That Don't Impress Me Much’ trailblazer wasn't on F-1Trillion. With Shania having been back in the studio throughout the past year or so for her Little Miss Twain album, we're hoping she found time to link up with Post while in Music City. If we had it our way, it would be a reimagined version of ‘Man! I Feel Like a Woman!’, the song Post danced to all those years ago.

4. Vince Gill

Post has been open about his deep-seated reverence for Vince Gill, a true legend of country music. They famously performed Gill's much-loved hit, ‘One More Last Chance’, together at Post's Grand Ole Opry debut shortly before the arrival of F-1Trillion.

What's more, through a little search on the ASCAP Repertory, we've found an unreleased song co-written by Post, Gill, Louis Bell, Charlie Handsome and ERNEST, called ‘Red River Wind’. We're hoping we finally get to hear this as part of The Eternal Buzz.

5. Tyler Childers

Now, this one might sound a tad more far-fetched than the other collaborations in this list. Given how Post has firmly grounded his country sound in Nashville, recruiting a star-studded array of mainstream country artists to help him so far, it might feel like Tyler Childers is too “alternative” or “Americana” to want to work with Posty.

But Childers has always considered himself country, despite all the governing bodies continuing to overlook him. Additionally, we know he and Post have had contact in the past, with ERNEST telling the infamous story a couple of years ago of how he, Post and Wallen were supposed to be meeting Childers at a bar, but then the latter disappeared. The implication was that this was because of Wallen being there.

Although this was a disappointing near-miss for a generational link-up, you have to assume that Post and Childers remained on good terms, especially given how often Post has covered Childers fan-favourites like ‘Whitehouse Road’ at his live shows.

With Post admitting previously that he hadn't been able to secure a Colter Wall collaboration, we'd love for him to get this Childers duet over the line. Post is clearly a huge fan of the ‘Bitin’ List’ maverick, and we reckon both artists are open-minded and experimental enough in the studio to produce a boundary-pushing collaboration.
