49 Winchester have shared two new covers and a reimagined version of ‘Hays, Kansas’ as part of their Apple Music Nashville Sessions EP, which is exclusively available on the streaming platform.
The much-loved Virginia band were invited to take part in the latest instalment of Apple Music's celebrated sessions series, which has so far featured Dierks Bentley, Bailey Zimmerman, Carrie Underwood, Nate Smith, Little Big Town, Hailey Whitters and more.
As well as releasing a new version of their popular 2020 track, ‘Hays, Kansas’, 49 Winchester have recorded a lively, infectious rendition of Stevie Wonder's ‘Superstition’.
Completing the new Apple Music Nashville Sessions EP is a stellar cover of Bobby Charles’ ‘Street People’, which was originally released in 1972 as part of Charles’ acclaimed self-titled album.
As well as paying homage to the original versions of both ‘Superstition’ and ‘Street People’, 49 Winchester infuse the recordings with their distinctive Americana-tinged swagger.
Following an electrifying set at Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion 2023, the band are now gearing up to join country megastar, Luke Combs, on the UK and Europe leg of his blockbuster 2023 tour.
