In the wake of the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene, a few of country music's finest faces – and a few proud North Carolinians – are banding together for the Concert for Carolina.
The special benefit show will be held on Saturday, October 26 at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina. Set to headline the event will be none other than country heavy hitters Luke Combs and Eric Church, as well as Americana virtuoso Billy Strings and iconic singer-songwriter James Taylor.
Also set to join the mighty quartet will be a smattering of beloved hitmakers, including Sheryl Crow, Keith Urban, Bailey Zimmerman, The Avett Brothers, Scotty McCreery, Chase Rice and Parmalee, who will all take the stage throughout the day. Concert for Carolina will be hosted by ESPN’s Marty Smith and Barstool Sports’ Caleb Pressley.
Due to overwhelming demand, the event has also partnered with Veeps, opening up the opportunity for fans to livestream the once-in-a-lifetime benefit show after tickets nearly immediately sold out.
In an effort to raise as much money as possible for Hurricane Helene relief efforts, the livestream will cost $24.99 with an option for additional donations available. Those impacted by Hurricane Helene will be able to view the show for free as Concert for Carolina and Veeps have used geotargeting to ensure that those in the affected areas will not be charged.
Presented by Explore Asheville and the Buncombe County Tourism Development Authority, all proceeds for the Concert for Carolina will be split between Combs and Church, who will each donate to relief efforts across the Carolinas and all of the southeast, including Samaritan’s Purse, Manna Food Bank, Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC, Eblen Charities and the organizations supported by Chief Cares.

Becoming the deadliest mainland storm since 2005's Hurricane Katrina, the death toll from Hurricane Helene continues to rise as recovery efforts continue across the southeast. While North Carolina was one of the worst-hit areas of the US, the natural disaster also wreaked havoc across Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and Virginia.
The show announcement comes just days after Church released ‘Darkest Hour (Helene Edit)’ in honor of his home state of North Carolina and those who have been so deeply impacted by last month's hurricane.
“From Western North Carolina, East Tennessee, Upstate South Carolina, parts of Georgia and even Florida which took a direct hit, there are so many places that were impacted. Specifically in the area that I'm from, the mountains of Western North Carolina were devastated. There are places that are just biblically gone. These are our family members, they're our friends, they're our neighbors – and they're in dire need of help," Church shared ahead of the release. "I had this song that I'd written, and the line that struck me in light of the recent devastation was ‘I'll come running,’ because there are a lot of people out there right now who are in their darkest hour and they need people to come running."
Marking his first taste of new music in over three years, all of the publishing royalties gained from the track will go towards disaster relief and the people of his home state.
