Kevin Costner's Yellowstone has continued its close artistic relationship with Zach Bryan, having featured his 2022 song, ‘The Good I'll Do’, in Episode 4 of the new season.

The track opens with a haunting, delicate infusion of harmonies, before building into a passionate tribute to new love.

The atmospheric feel of the song makes it the perfect choice for Yellowstone's cinematic, Montana-based drama, which is largely driven by the fictional Dutton family.

Bryan's music has played a prominent role throughout the five seasons of the hit TV show, with songs such as ‘Condemned’ and ‘Flying or Crying’ making appearances.

Yellowstone has long been celebrated for championing up-and-coming artists across country music.

Since the series started, Andrea Von Forester, Yellowstone's Music Supervisor, has cherry-picked some of the most exciting new music within the genre. Bryan has been at the forefront of this, with other artists such as Tyler Childers, Whiskey Myers, Colter Wall and more being woven into the fabric of the neo-Western show.

Lainey Wilson also debuted ‘New Friends’ in Episode 4 of the new Yellowstone season, a nostalgic, heartbroken single which has since been added to her 2022 album, Bell Bottom Country.

Wilson plays Abby, a Season 5 addition to the Yellowstone cast, and also performed another new track, ‘Smell Like Smoke’, in Episode 3.

Wilson is enjoying a successful end to 2022, having taken home the 2022 CMA awards for New Artist of the Year and Female Vocalist of the Year. Wilson's 2022 project, Bell Bottom Country, continues to receive resounding praise from all corners of the industry.

Similarly, Zach Bryan has also been experiencing a stellar 2022, with his prolific musical output continuing to keep fans on their toes. The Oklahoma singer-songwriter put out two new songs in November, ‘Fifth of May’ and ‘The Greatest Day of My Life’. Along with a smattering of other singles, 2022 has also seen the release of Bryan's American Heartbreak album in May and his Summertime Blues EP in July.

Despite receiving no nominations from the CMAs, Bryan's emphatic ascent has caught the attention of the Recording Academy. His hit single, ‘Something in the Orange’, is nominated for the 2023 Grammy award for ‘Best Country Solo Performance’.
