Upcoming USA Country Concerts This Week

Touring season is now in full force, with two of country music's biggest names - Morgan Wallen and Luke Combs - kicking off their blockbuster 2024 runs in April.

As well as those two heavyweights being on the road, there are a plethora of stellar shows to look forward to each week - but as any country aficionado knows, it can be a little tricky to keep tabs on where your favourite artists are playing and when.

Whether you want to sing your heart out to Zach Bryan's soul-baring anthems, dance along to Lainey Wilson's Bell Bottom Country or lose yourself in Dan + Shay's lustrous harmonies, there are a plethora of high-profile tours bringing a range of incredible country music across California, New York, Tennessee and everywhere in-between.

You may already know that you want to see Tyler Childers and 49 Winchester in Nashville, or you might just have a hankering for a concert and are seeking some inspiration this week.

Don't fret, we've got you covered - here's 10 incredible country concerts taking place in the US across April 17-21.

It wouldn't be a true summer without a sun-soaked, Blue Chair Bay Rum-soaked tour from Kenny Chesney.

His Sun Goes Down run of shows kicks off in Tampa, Florida this week, and the ‘I Go Back’ hitmaker will be bringing along his good friends and fellow country heavyweights, Zac Brown Band, as well as one of the future stars of the genre, Megan Moroney. If that wasn't enough, Uncle Kracker will be joining Kenny Chesney too, and we think it's safe to assume the duo will link up and perform their chart-topping classic and the tour's namesake, ‘When The Sun Goes Down’, during the latter's headline set. With Kenny dropping his first album in four years in March, Born, we're looking forward to seeing which new tracks make their way into his setlist.

Ashley McBryde continues her 2024 tour this week with dates in two major country music hubs - Louisville, Kentucky and Knoxville, Tennessee. McBryde has honed a stellar set over the past few years, and with an array of stand-outs from 2023's The Devil I Know now part of her setlist, the ‘One Night Standards’ hitmaker's show has become a must-see for fans of the rockier side of country music.

A combination that'll make alt-country and Americana fans salivate, Jason Isbell and his 400 Unit band are hitting the stage at Baton Rouge's Raising Canes River Center Arena this Saturday alongside cult favourites, Turnpike Troubadours. With both artists hailing from Oklahoma, we're hoping Isbell and co will bring out Turnpike Troubadours for a couple of Red Dirt country duets during the headline set.

One of the biggest tours of the year, Luke Combs’ Growin’ Up and Gettin’ Old set is shaping up to be his best show yet. With the North Carolina chart-topper playing a double-header in Buffalo, New York following his tour launch last week in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, we imagine he'll again vary his setlist across the two shows - which means, if you can, it's well worth getting tickets to both of them. In addition to one of the most formidable catalogues of hits in modern country, Luke is bringing along a top-tier roster of opening acts with him to Buffalo, including Jordan Davis, Charles Wesley Godwin, Hailey Whitters and more.

Another duo with overlapping fanbases, alt-country trailblazer, Tyler Childers, has recruited one of the most exciting new bands in the space, 49 Winchester, to open for him.

With Tyler coming off the back off his widely lauded 2023 album, Rustin’ in the Rain, and with 49 currently gearing up to release their brand new project, Leavin’ This Holler, we reckon there'll be plenty of fresh tracks and maybe even some unreleased teasers on offer during this double-header at Music City's Bridgestone Arena.

With the release of his surprise new EP, Way Out Here, just six months after his much-loved sophomore album, Ain't My Last Rodeo, Riley Green is quickly cementing himself in country music's upper echelon. His 2024 tour, supported by Tracy Lawrence and Ella Langley, is a celebration of the slower and often overlooked rural lifestyle, with Riley's setlist punctuated by down-home battle-cries such as ‘Different ‘Round Here’, ‘Hell Of A Way To Go’ and ‘If It Wasn't For Trucks’. The atmosphere will be electric at Riley's home-state show on April 18th, and keep an eye out for the Alabama native's beautiful new fan-favourite, ‘Jesus Saves’.

Lyrical maestro and Grammy-winning singer-songwriter, Brandy Clark, is hitting the road again in 2024, with shows lined up this week in Atlanta and Macon, Georgia. Excitingly, Clark has been incorporating a number of highlights from her 2023 project, Dear Insecurity, into the setlist, including the acclaimed title-track and ‘She Smoked in the House’, in addition to older staples such as ‘Hold My Hand’ and ‘Get High’.

Kane Brown's high-octane, genre-fusing sets are always a rip-roaring and wildly entertaining experience, and he'll be showcasing his unrivalled stage presence in Iowa, Minnesota and North Dakota this week. Kane has two new singles out, ‘I Can Feel It’ and ‘Fiddle in the Band’, and with more music on the way soon, we imagine he'll be adjusting his setlist accordingly as his In the Air tour marches on. Kane Brown's good buddies, Tyler Hubbard and Parmalee, will be helping to hype up the crowd this week ahead of Kane's momentous headlining performance.

Priscilla Block has continued her prolific streak of releases into 2024, with the fast-emerging artist sharing a plethora of new EPs and singles over the past 12 months or so. She's packed plenty of these into her 2024 setlist, with Block consolidating herself as one to watch as she gears up for a new album rollout. This week, Priscilla Block will be storming onto the stage in Missouri, Michigan and Pennsylvania.

After dropping a new album, Time Traveler, in 2023 and finishing up his Nashville honky-tonk, the record-breaking, goalpost-shifting and Spotify-eschewing legend himself, Garth Brooks, is now preparing to resume his hugely popular Las Vegas residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Thursday. He's teased that - alongside smashes such as ‘If Tomorrow Never Comes’, ‘The Dance’ and ‘Friends in Low Places’ - we can look forward to hearing some original music from Garth's wife and fellow country superstar, Trisha Yearwood, during the shows.
