Country music star Riley Green has just released new single 'That's Just Me,' the title track to his upcoming album set for release on September 18th, according to the 'Worst Way' songster's countdown on his Spotify.

Since the release of his emotional 'If I Don't Leave I'm Gonna Stay' duet with no other than Carly Pearce, Green has been on a calculated run of single releases leading up to his fourth studio album, and while the duet will not be featured on the record, other recent singles, such as 'Imagine That' and first track 'My Way' will be.

With title track 'That's Just Me,' Green has gifted us yet another song exploring the confusing lines between love and heartbreak, a theme he sings to extraordinarily.

His voice as close and personal as ever, making listeners feel as though they are practically in the studio with him, Green caps off the first part of this verse before going into the second, with a steel guitar coming in to gently set the "picking up" tone.

With every nod at the song's title, beginning at "but maybe that's just me," a few notes of a piano softly play, and the light tapping of a drum and cymbal lean into the tune.

As the song continues to build up, a riff on an electric guitar feels like the last missing piece of a puzzle Green just found and fit perfectly. This riff begins at the start of the second verse, when he continues, "Do you ever go out..."

The Meaning:

To unpack the first verse of 'That's Just Me,' Green uses his familiar surroundings of nature, country skies, and country culture to compare to the beauty he sees in the girl he is singing to. He describes the woman as being so gorgeous that he simply cannot shake it and caps this feeling he has off with a humble use of the song's hook, singing, "but, maybe that's just me."
