On Sunday, February 19, a star-studded array of artists took the Opry stage to pay tribute to comedy icon, Leslie Jordan.

Over the course of his career, Jordan became a much-loved figure within the country music community.

Shortly before he passed away, he starred in Blanco Brown and LOCASH's hilarious, The Big Lebowski-inspired music video for ‘Let It Slide’.

Leslie Jordan also released his acclaimed collaborative album, Company's Comin’, in 2021, which featured high-profile appearances from Chris Stapleton, Morgane Stapleton, Dolly Parton, Brandi Carlile, Eddie Vedder, Travis Howard and more.

Some of the guest stars on that project helped to commemorate the life and career of the Tennessee multi-hyphenate at Jordan's Grand Ole Opry tribute, including Ashley McBryde, Eddie Vedder, Brothers Osborne and Travis Howard.

Tanya Tucker, who also appeared on the project, opened the tribute show with a moving rendition of Delta Dawn and Amazing Grace.

Also performing at the special show was Maren Morris, Brittney Spencer, Billy Strings, Lukas Nelson, Jake Wesley Rogers, Fancy Hagood, Jelly Roll and Danny Myrick.

Following the initial announcement, a series of other high-profile artists were added to the line-up, with the likes of HARDY, Lainey Wilson and Ernest all confirmed as performing. Joining them will be Ruby Amanfu, Charlie Worsham and Katie Pruitt.

As well as honouring Leslie Jordan's esteemed status in the country world, naturally, the Opry tribute also showcased Jordan's comedic genius, with guest appearances from the likes of New Girl's Max Greenfield, Jim Parsons, Margaret Cho, Robyn Schall and more.

All proceeds from the Opry's warm-hearted evening of stories and performances are being donated to EB Research Partnership, the world's biggest organisation helping to fund research to treat and cure Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB).
