In tandem with the release of his brand new song, ‘Kiss My Boots’, Brian Kelley has revealed the full tracklist, title and release date for his eagerly awaited sophomore album.

The project, entitled Tennessee Truth, will arrive on May 10th, 2024, with the 12-track album set to include previously released songs, ‘How We're Livin’, ‘See You Next Summer’, ‘Trucks, Ducks, Bucks & Beer’, ‘Dirt Cheap’ and the newly shared ‘Kiss My Boots’.

The latter has stirred up some controversy across social media, with fans speculating that the fiery track is directed at BK's former Florida Georgia Line band-mate, Tyler Hubbard.

The song finds Brian Kelley ‘airin’ out the past’ after listening to some Hank Williams Jr. and sipping on some Jack Daniels, rebuking the target of the track for “Throwin’ dirt on my name round this town like it ain't small / Like your friends ain't my friends, and I wouldn't end up hearing it all”. Many believe this to be a reference to the FGL split back in 2022, which was reported to be less than amicable.

In a 2023 Holler interview, Brian Kelley revealed he'd wanted to keep the duo going alongside his solo career, but that Tyler Hubbard was adamant it had to be one or the other, in order to preserve the globally renowned Florida Georgia Line brand.

In a 2024 chat with Holler, Tyler Hubbard responded to ‘Kiss My Boots’, underlining, “I'm happy for BK, this is what he wanted and this is what he initiated, and I hope he's happy and that he's doing his thing and I'm doing my thing”.

It remains to be seen whether Brian Kelley will delve into the subject matter of ‘Kiss My Boots’ any further on the forthcoming album, but given the fact that it's named after a key lyric from the song (“Sober me would never tell / But tonight I'm on the Tennessee Truth”), we imagine he might have more to share on the matter.

Along with the already-released tracks, fans will be able to hear a plethora of new songs on Tennessee Truth, including ‘Acres’, ‘Goin’ Places’, ‘King Ranch’ and ‘Dirt Road Date Night’, with BK performing the latter two on a number of occasions.
