Biography

Since breaking into the country music scene all the way back in 2010, Brian Kelley has enjoyed a successful career both individually and as one half of power-duo Florida Georgia Line.

Alongside Tyler Hubbard, the pair first met through a worship group while attending Nashville's Belmont University where their shared passion for music and songwriting drew them together. They self-released their debut EP, Anything Like Me, in 2010, and by 2012, they'd caught the eyes–and ears–of some of Nashville's biggest decision makers.

Culminating in their debut studio album, Here’s to the Good Times, the record featured their bonafide breakout hit, 'Cruise,' which became a defining song in the bro-country sub-genre and achieved Diamond certification by the RIAA, as well as 'Round Here,' 'Get Your Shine On' and 'Stay.'

Through FGL, Kelley & Hubbard quickly rose to fame, winning the 2013 ACM awards for New Artist of the Year and New Vocal Duo or Group of the Year. Continuing over over a decade, the pair were on a crash course of country music success, peppering out one hit album after another and beefing up their discography with standout hits like 'Anything Goes,' 'Sippin' On Fire,' 'May We All,' 'Simple,' ''H.O.L.Y.' and many more.

After a dozen years as one of the leading artists in the format, Florida Georgia Line decided to go on an indefinite hiatus in 2022, leading to Kelley's pursuit of his solo career. His debut solo project, Sunshine State of Mind, showcased a different sound compared to the duo's music, leaning towards a more beachy and modern country vibe. The Florida native followed it up with his searing Tennessee Truth in 2024.
