You don’t have to be mad to fall in love, but sometimes there’s no other explanation.

If you’ve ever woken up in the morning, rolled over and looked at your loved one and wondered what on earth the object of your affections could possibly see in you, then the new single from Woody Pitney is for you.

A delightfully self-deprecating take on the who-in-the-hell-knows-why-or-how of falling in love with someone, it perfectly captures all the confusion and self doubt that goes along with the joys of romantic relationships.

“The song is essentially asking the question to one’s partner saying, ‘how did I get so lucky to end up with you?’. It’s making a tongue-in-cheek assumption that the other person in the relationship must be a little bit crazy to willingly be in the relationship”, the Melbourne based country pop singer explains about his new single, ‘Out of Your Mind’. “Could they be under some sort of spell, or maybe just drunk. Regardless of what it is, it’s a great thing!”

Sitting neatly alongside the likes of Morgan Evans, Walker Hayes and Dustin Lynch, ‘Out Of Your Mind’ is an infectiously summery country pop ditty that’s been keeping the summer going just that little bit longer here in the chilly Holler offices this week. We might not be sitting on a beach right now, but we’ve got tequila and ice in the blender and Woody Pitney on the stereo and there’s nowhere else we’d rather be.

‘Out of Your Mind’ is premiering exclusively on Holler below.

Over the last decade, Pitney has been busily building his own Nashville over in Australia, sharing stages with Vance Joy, The Drums, Reece Mastin and The Paper Kites. He's also been singing and stage-diving his way through headline shows all around Melbourne, as well as performing overseas at festivals and touring extensively across Europe, Asia and USA.

Influenced by everyone from Keith Urban to Elvis Presley, the self-confessed “half city, half country boydivides his time between living in the hustle and bustle of Melbourne, as well as spending time working on his family vineyard and making music in Central Victoria.

Recently working on new releases with Nashville-based producer, Austin Moorhead (Carly Pearce, Maddy & Tae), Woody Pitney has been able to adapt to the modern world of remote collaboration, working on his projects between his home studio in Victoria and Austin’s Tennessee studio.

We can’t wait to see what’s coming next from one of Australia's brightest new country stars.

‘Out of Your Mind' is released on 13th October.
