While we all wait for live music to resume safely, live-streams and awards show broadcasts have been helping fill the gap.
This year's CMT Awards, hosted by Kane Brown and Kelsea Ballerini, promises to be full of high-energy performances that give us a taste of concert life.
The 2021 CMT Awards has announced its initial lineup and it is stacked, including several big duets.
For starters, there's Mickey Guyton with the legendary Gladys Knight; Brothers Osbourne and Dierks Bentley; Miranda Lambert, Jack Ingram and Jon Randall performing from their recent collaborative album The Marfa Tapes; and Maren Morris and JP Saxe.
As if that weren't enough, Chris Stapleton and Luke Combs will deliver solo performances.
And that's only the initial lineup announcement, with still more to come.
The CMT Awards also announced nominees last week. Lambert and Morris lead the pack with four each, but what's equally exciting is the list of artists who received their first nominations.
That includes Guyton, Dylan Scott, Hailey Whitters, HARDY, Lainey Wilson, Margo Price, Nathaniel Rateliff, Niko Moon, Noah Cyrus, Parmalee, Ryan Hurd, Tyler Hubbard and Willie Jones.
In February, Price and Rateliff performed together on CMT Crossroads, playing 'Twinkle, Twinkle' off Price's latest album That's How Rumors Get Started.
