Zach Bryan has released his brand new single, ‘Pink Skies’, with the viral fan-favourite set to be feature on his keenly awaited forthcoming album, The Great American Bar Scene.

The newly unveiled track, which had previously gone viral under the unofficial title of ‘Eulogy’, finds the Oklahoma singer-songwriter reminiscing wistfully about his mother's funeral.

Originally teased back on April 19th through an acoustic video shared to Instagram, ‘Pink Skies’ didn't spark a particularly fervent reaction from fans until Zach Bryan shared a second snippet the following month, featuring his signature harmonica.

During the first of his two homecoming shows in Oklahoma City, the ‘Something in the Orange’ hitmaker revealed he'd be releasing a new single on Friday (May 24th), in addition to once again confirming his new album will be out this year.

The hotly anticipated project, which is due to be called The Great American Bar Scene, is also expected to feature previously teased tracks such as ‘Oak Island’, ‘Sandpaper’ and ‘28’.

When Zach Bryan shared the news of his single to his raucous, packed-out Oklahoma crowd, many assumed the chart-topping crooner was referring to The Great American Bar Scene title-track. However, in an Instagram post shared hours after his show, Zach clarified that the new song would indeed be ‘Pink Skies’.

Thankfully, though, in the caption he hinted the full project was on the horizon, teasing, “Pink Skies (Eulogy) is out Friday, I will see everyone at the actual great American bar scene”.

It seems ‘The Great American Bar Scene’ was perhaps initially intended to be the lead single, but due to how popular the social media clip of ‘Pink Skies’ had become, Zach decided to pivot towards this enchantingly introspective track instead. Either way, new music from Zach Bryan is always a cause for celebration, with the rollout for his keenly awaited fifth studio album excitingly picking up pace.
