Zach Bryan treated a packed-out Desert Diamond Arena in Phoenix to the live debut of ‘Pain, Sweet, Pain’ and ‘Towers’, with the Oklahoma singer-songwriter delivering an electrifying set during the opening night of his two-show stint at the Arizona venue.
Fans have been yearning to hear the folk-leaning country hitmaker to perform ‘Pain, Sweet, Pain’ ever since he released it back in 2023, as part of his five-song Boys of Faith EP.
Thankfully, the long-awaited moment arrived at last night's show (Tuesday, December 3rd), with Zach Bryan showcasing his strong, rugged vocals across a stripped-back accompaniment for the introduction to ‘Pain, Sweet, Pain’, before the rip-roaring fiddle and toe-tapping beat entered the fray for the energising verses.
Excitingly, that wasn't the only surprise Zach Bryan had in store for his adoring Arizona audience, with the ‘I Remember Everything’ crooner also performing live ‘Towers’ for the first time.
One of the many highlights from Zach Bryan's widely acclaimed 2024 studio album, The Great American Bar Scene, ‘Towers’ finds Zach reflecting on his relationship with faith, home and his career, as he wonders what it takes to make it past the pearly gates (“It's a long road to Heaven (long road) / It's a far drop to Hell / I pray we outlive this fountain (pray we outlive) / I reckon time will tell”) alongside a rousing choir.
Zach Bryan returns to Glendale's Desert Diamond Arena this evening for the second of his momentous Arizona double-header, with the ‘Something in the Orange’ chart-topper currently delivering his final series of shows on his 2024 Quittin’ Time run. Zach was clearly feeling nostalgic in the lead-up to this week's performances, as he took to Instagram to share a lengthy message to fans describing his gratitude at their ongoing support, and the love shown to him during Thanksgiving.
Zach Bryan has dates lined up in Salt Lake City, Tulsa and Brooklyn throughout the rest of December, with the former US Navy Officer confirming he won't be touring in 2025 as he studies for his Masters degree in Paris, France. Zach will, however, be performing a slew of isolated shows, such as two BST Hyde Park 2025 concerts in London, UK.
