If it wasn't already clear that Kelsea Ballerini is the ultimate girls’ girl, it should be now. Demonstrating once again why she’s the poster girl for cute, relatable content, Ballerini gave her fans another swoon-worthy moment last night at her show in Charleston, South Carolina.
During her concert at North Charleston Coliseum, Ballerini added in an extra costume change, reappearing for her final song, ‘How Do I Do This’ in boyfriend Chase Stokes’ jersey.
The ‘Penthouse’ singer oozed confidence, strutting the stage and enjoying the final song with her fans who she addresses like friends. With ‘STOKES 92’ emblazoned on the back of her South Carolina Stingrays shirt, Ballerini playfully flipped her hair to reveal her boyfriend’s name during the line, “where the hell is my dress?” – and the crowd loved it.
There’s been an outpouring of love for Ballerini following the moment, with fans commenting on a social media clip saying, “I love seeing our girl so happy, she deserves it” and “I’m crying she deserves this so much”.
‘How Do I Do This’ concludes her album Rolling Up The Welcome Mat (For Good), with fans lapping up the way Ballerini has played with her lyrics and performances as she moves through the deeply personal story that the record represents. Performing in Stoke’s jersey feels like a poetic nod to him being the subject of the song that she wrote back in 2023.
Ballerini has just released the deluxe version of her latest album, PATTERNS, featuring five new tracks, including the graceful but final ‘Hindsight Is Happiness’, On the song, she holds space for ex-husband, Morgan Evans, and wishes him the best. It seems that now, three years on, she’s fuelled by her new love and at peace with this closed chapter in her story.
