BigXthaPlug and Bailey Zimmerman are truly headed 'All The Way'.
The collaboration between the Texas Rapper and Illinois country star has left anyone that's heard it on TikTok in a frenzy, leading to massive anticipation for the razor sharp, 2-minute track. The build-up to the release of the bass-heavy track, though, has been a rollercoaster ride to say the least.
The rapper dropped a surprise teaser on TikTok on Valentine's Day, something that not even Bailey Zimmerman knew was coming, which then proceeded, of course, to go majorly viral across the social media platform.
This has led the duo, under supreme pressure from fans, to rush release the track, with the song finally dropping last Friday (April 4). The release was immediately lapped up, with the song already amassing 8m streams on Spotify alone within just a week of release.
This has now led to an immediate impact on the charts, with 'All The Way' heading at the very least for a Top 5 Position on the Billboard Hot 100 in its first week of release.
Bailey was both shocked and quick to react to the news that his duet was heading quickly to the top of the pops, pleading to fans to carry on listening and take it right to No.1.
Posting a chart update on his Instagram Stories, Zimmerman exclaimed "THIS IS FREAKIN INSANE", not even being able to believe himself that the song has had the impact its had across the board.
"KEEP JAMMIN LETS TAKE IT "ALL THE WAY" YALL".
Simmering under a bass-heavy trap beat and a sinewy acoustic guitar line, 'All The Way' is a bridge-burning break-up song, with both Bailey and BigX playing vulnerable and yearning protagonists that are fuelled by the fury of what went wrong in the relationship. As it ends, you realise that, even after everything they've been through, they are still sore that they've lost the person they love.
'All The Way' is seemingly leading to a country-leaning EP from BigXthaPlug, with an array of special guests rumoured to be in the works and featuring on the Dallas Rapper's next project.
Morgan Wallen, Post Malone and Shaboozey have all been mooted as potential collaborators, while ERNEST was pictured in the studio with BigX and Posty back in February.
