At long last, we have a release date.

After teasing it over the past few weeks, BigXthaPlug and Bailey Zimmerman have confirmed they'll drop their keenly awaited collaboration, ‘All The Way’, on Friday, April 4th.

Following the initial snippet of the track, which the Texas rapper shared on Valentine's Day, ‘All The Way’ spread across TikTok, with fans clamouring for the duo to released the earworm.

‘All The Way’ finds Bailey Zimmerman taking the helm for the sinuous, infectious chorus, with the ‘Religiously’ singer-songwriter showcasing his enchanting vibrato as he addresses an ex that is making their painful break-up messier than it needs to be.

Although BigXthaPlug hails from the rap world, the ‘Take Care’ hitmaker has been flirting with the prospect of venturing into the country music space for a number of months now.

BigX has been photographed alongside the likes of Morgan Wallen, Post Malone and ERNEST, with the genre-blender also featuring on one of the many stand-outs on Shaboozey's 2024 album, Where I've Been, Isn't Where I'm Going, ‘Drink Don't Need No Mix’.

He's therefore no stranger to Music City, and BigXthaPlug continues to hint that he's working on a star-studded country EP, featuring Wallen, Post, Shaboozey, Jelly Roll and Luke Combs. Despite nothing being unveiled just yet, we suspect the Bailey Zimmerman-assisted ‘All The Way’ is the lead single from that highly anticipated EP.

During a conversation with country music videographer, Eddie Marange, at the beginning of March, Zimmerman explained how the unexpected collaboration came about, “I was up in my studio one night, and I had heard that BigX was doing a country project, and I said, ‘Man, dude, how cool would it be to do a song with BigX? I would love to do that one dayThat day was super soon, and he sent me the song. I cut it, and we were just gonna wait, and then...They loved it. He was like, ‘Dude, I love this song’, and then he just randomly posted it...Nobody knew he was gonna post it...Now, we're here. So we're trying to figure it out, dude”.

He expanded, “When I first got it, I was like, ‘Dude, I wonder if I'm gonna sound good’, and then when I cut it, I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, dude, this thing is so fire’...Hopefully we can get it out soon, bro...It's like my sound and his sound really blended together super well...I'm just excited to see how people react to it and if they love it or not”.

Zimmerman and BigX were spotted earlier in the week filming what appears to be a music video for ‘All The Way’, with the visuals seemingly set in a bucolic countryside cottage.

Given how addictive the ‘All The Way’ demo is, with Bailey Zimmerman's atmospheric, brooding delivery combining seamlessly BigXthaPlug's charismatic flow, we can't wait to hear the full version of this blockbuster link-up on Friday, April 4th.
