Following a stellar 2023, The War And Treaty have been nominated for their first ever CMA Award.

Announced today, the captivating duo are up for the Vocal Duo of the Year award. They'll face competition from frequent nominees Brooks & Dunn, Brothers Osborne, Dan + Shay and Maddie & Tae.

The husband-and-wife duo of Michael Trotter Jr and Tanya Trotter released their major label debut album, Lover's Game, in March this year. It received a full 10 out of 10 review from Holler, who called it "an antidote to the world’s sickly state".

The pair are certainly frontrunners for the award following an exciting breakthrough 12 months.

Alongside the release of their album, the past few months have seen them release a surprise duet with Zach Bryan in 'Hey Driver' and perform their cover of The Rolling Stones' 'It's Only Rock 'N' Roll' at last year's awards, alongside fellow Vocal Duo of the Award nominees, Brothers Osborne.

With both about to release forthcoming and much anticipated new albums, The War And Treaty will certainly face stiff competition from the aforementioned Osborne brothers and Day + Shay.

The 2023 CMA Awards are due to take place on Wednesday, November 8 in Nashville, with Lainey Wilson earning more nominations than any other artist with nine. Jelly Roll follows on five, while HARDY and Luke Combs both pick up four nods apiece.

Excitingly, many artists will arrive in Music City alongside The War And Treaty with their first ever nomination under their belt, including Hailey Whitters, Zach Bryan and Megan Moroney.
