Shaboozey's 'A Bar Song (Tipsy)' is back on top. The sensation's summer smash just reascended to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 after having been briefly dethroned by Morgan Wallen's latest single, 'Love Somebody'.
This marks the song's 16th week at the top of the mainstream singles chart, officially tying Wallen’s 2023 hit 'Last Night' for the longest ruling No. 1 single of the 2020s.
Months ago, 'A Bar Song (Tipsy)' became the chart's longest reigning hit of 2024. The song also continues to top the Hot Country charts for the 20th week, securing the same distinction of longest running No. 1 on the genre-specific ranking.
Since it dropped this past April, 'A Bar Song (Tipsy)' has amassed hundreds of millions of listens across streaming platforms, breaking records and making history for the better part of 2024.
It's undoubtedly been a huge year for the hit song, but it has also been a big year for Shaboozey in general. He recently wrapped his first headlining tour, plotted a European trek for the new year and secured his first-ever CMA Awards nominations.
He has received nods for New Artist of the Year, as well as Single of the Year for 'A Bar Song (Tipsy)', the results of which will come to light on Wednesday, Nov. 20, during the 58th Annual CMA Awards ceremony.
