Shaboozey recently secured his first No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart with his latest banger, 'A Bar Song (Tipsy).' Having made the jump from No. 6 on the list, the artist's song has officially dethroned Beyoncé's 'TEXAS HOLD EM'' from the top slot.

Queen Bey's COWBOY CARTER hit has reigned on the songs chart for the last 10 weeks ever since the tune made history and made the icon the first Black female artist to top such a ranking. Now, the Hot Country chart is witnessing history once again as Shaboozey's recent No. 1 marks the first time two Black artists have topped the list with back-to-back hit songs.

'A Bar Song (Tipsy),' which interpolates the 2000s hip-hop opus 'Tipsy' by J-Kwon, has quickly gained steam in the last weeks, garnering over 50 million U.S. streams since its release on April 12.

"Shoutout [J-Kwon] for giving me the blessing to do this one!" the artist shared on social media upon the track's release. "He made the greatest club anthem of all time and I hope I did it justice! Request this at your local bar while you close out your 3 digit tab on a Wednesday night, eyes redder than holy sin, hoping your bank account doesn’t overdraft and remind yourself it was all worth it because the memories you made that night and the night before were priceless!"

'A Bar Song (Tipsy)' is the lead single from Shaboozey's forthcoming third album, Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going, set for release on May 31. The new record will follow up the star's 2022 released Cowboys Live Forever, Outlaws Never Die and Lady Wrangler from 2018.
