The second day of the inaugural Extra Innings Festival in Tempe, Arizona hosted a lineup of some of the best and brightest acts in folk/alternative music.
Richy Mitch and the Coal Miners held the 2:50 pm slot, warming the stage for Sheryl Crow, Noah Kahan and The Dave Matthews Band.
RMCM has amassed a substantial following in the past several years, sharing stages with Kahan, Mt. Joy and Flipturn, to name a few. This weekend, their set in the desert proved that the Colorado grown boys’ rapid growth is well deserved.
The sun beating down on the main stage was a foreign feeling to the group that currently calls Seattle home. Lead singer Mitch even mentioned to the crowd of thousands that he was not used to his guitar strings being as warm as they were.

Though the nature of most of the band’s music is laid-back, RMCM is an engaging act to watch with considerable stage presence. Each crew member masters their role, blending together in gratifying harmony.
A highlight of the show was RMCM’s rendition of their viral hit ‘Evergreen.’ The audience roared with excitement and approval as the unmistakable intro echoed through Tempe Beach Park.
The bond amongst the foursome is so strong that the execution of almost every song sounded inseparable from the recorded version.
RMCM fit perfectly into the Saturday bill of Extra Innings Festival and provided a performance demonstrating the talents that earned them a spot on the main stage.
The boys have several major festival appearances in 2024, such as Under The Big Sky, Hinterland Music Festival and FairWell Festival, and take it from us, they're a must-see act.
