Post Malone and Morgan Wallen have each earned their first UK Country Radio Airplay Chart No. 1 with ‘I Had Some Help’, with the infectious, record-breaking single replacing Ashley Cooke's ‘your place’ at the top spot for the week dated May 17 to May 23.
‘I Had Some Help’, which dropped on May 10th after months of tantalising teasers and snippets, is set to appear on Post Malone's keenly awaited debut country album. The project is expected to arrive later this year, and will seemingly feature more blockbuster features from artists such as Luke Combs and Blake Shelton.
‘I Had Some Help’ has surged to No. 1 on the UK Country Radio Airplay Chart in just its second frame, amassing a whopping 923,791 impressions, a 55% increase from last week.
The preceding No. 1, Ashley Cooke's ‘your place’, took the top spot with 687,818 and Sam Hunt's ‘Outskirts’ did the same with 696,259 before that, highlighting just how impressive Post Malone and Morgan Wallen's figures are this week.
Cooke's ‘your place’, which has spent two nonconsecutive weeks at No. 1 on the UK Country Airplay Chart, continues its strong form, slotting in at No. 2 on this week's frame.
Completing the Top 5 is Dasha's viral, beat-driven hit, ‘Austin’, which settles at No. 3 after reaching the pinnacle in April, with Nate Smith's recent single, ‘Bulletproof’, and Jordan Davis’ much-loved ‘Tucson Too Late’ securing No. 4 and No. 5 respectively. The latter is another previous UK Country Radio Airplay chart-topper.
The biggest mover this week is Luke Combs’ blockbuster, stormy new anthem, ‘Ain't No Love in Oklahoma’, the lead single from the forthcoming Twisters: The Album soundtrack.
Luke Combs has notched a staggering 18,357% boost in impressions to debut at No. 18, while Lainey Wilson's newly unveiled track, ‘Hang Tight Honey’, has also scored a sizeable 2057% increase in impressions during this frame to land at No. 16.
