Parker McCollum is one of the carefully curated group of country artists to feature on Diplo's new genre-blending project, Thomas Wesley: Chapter 2 - Swamp Savant.
McCollum guests on ‘Lonely Long’, which finds the Texas singer-songwriter offering a wealth of sweet, reassuring advice to someone who's recently had their heart broken.
His strong, distinctive vocals couple with an energetic, electronic beat, creating an uptempo country-EDM anthem reminiscent of Avicii's game-changing collaboration with Aloe Blacc, ‘Wake Me Up’.
It represents a step into uncharted waters for Parker McCollum, who has so far been known for his neo-traditional, radio-friendly sound, epitomised by previous chart-toppers such as ‘Pretty Heart’.
McCollum is gearing up to release Never Enough, the follow-up to his acclaimed 2021 record, Gold Chain Cowboy. The new project is set to include previously released singles such as ‘Speed’ and ‘Handle On You’, the latter of which was recently certified Gold.
Joining Parker McCollum as part of the eclectic cast on Diplo's new country-leaning project, Swamp Savant, is Lily Rose, Morgan Wade, Sturgill Simpson, Sierra Ferrell, Koe Wetzel, Paul Cauthen and more.
The album serves as the sequel to the EDM DJ's previous Thomas Wesley record, Snake Oil, which dropped in 2020, and featured another impressive array of country stars, including Zac Brown, Morgan Wallen, Thomas Rhett, Cam, Orville Peck and Blanco Brown.
The release of Swamp Savant tees up Diplo's hotly anticipated DJ set at Stagecoach, with the ‘Where Are Ü Now’ hitmaker due to take the stage at the hugely popular California festival on Sunday, April 30.
