One of music's hottest commodities of 2023, Noah Kahan, made a special appearance at the 22nd Annual Americana Honors & Awards, joining The Milk Carton Kids for a tribute to the legendary Paul Simon.
The trio treated attendees in the Mother Church of Country Music, Nashville's historic Ryman auditorium, to their stripped-down rendition of Simon's beloved 'American Tune.'
With Kahan's silky smooth and irresistible vocals kicking off the track, it quickly turned into a cozy serenade in the Ryman house with a lone acoustic guitar playing in the background. Wrapping up the audience like a warm hug, the larger-than-life folk-leaning crooner made quite an entrance at his first ever Americana Honors & Awards.
When it came to the second verse, The Milk Carton Kids continued that same spell-binding energy as their pitch-perfect harmonies filled the air. As the song progressed, the whole affair graduated to a beautifully executed three-part harmony, with each of the three men lending their talents as the song hit its climax.
As one of the ultimate genre-benders of today, Kahan's appearance at the 2023 Americana Honors & Awards was one of the sweetest surprises of the night which featured plenty of other electrifying performances from 49 Winchester, The War and Treaty, Margo Price and more.
Celebrating and championing the finest talent across the genre, the likes of Tyler Childers, S.G. Goodman, Billy Strings and Sistastrings were all crowned victorious during the star-studded ceremony.
