When the stacked RODEOHOUSTON 2025 line-up was unveiled, even amidst the dizzying array of stars on the roster, Post Malone's headline show was one of the most anticipated sets.
During his electrifying performance, the ‘Guy For That’ singer-songwriter treated the packed-out NRG Stadium audience to live-wire, countrified renditions of fan-favourites such as ‘White Iverson’, ‘Sunflower’ and ‘I Had Some Help’.
Post Malone also showcased his deep reverence for the genre by delivering a crowd-pleasing cover of the King of Country, George Strait. Post offered a playful performance of the Texas legend's tongue-in-cheek 1987 anthem, ‘Ocean Front Property’.
The Austin native drew a whopping crowd of 70,000, with the genre-blending maverick consolidating his transition from the trap and indie-pop worlds following his lauded debut country album, F-1Trillion, featuring Morgan Wallen, Dolly Parton and more.
Elsewhere during his show, as has become tradition, Post Malone took some time out to deliver a rousing, heartfelt speech encouraging attendees to chase down their dreams.
Post Malone underlined, “No matter what you wanna do in this world, there are people that believe in you and there are people that love you and there are people that support you”.
The ‘Circles’ chart-topper went on to movingly stress, “It doesn't matter what you wanna do, do it as hard as you can, do it the best you can and do it your way because no one on this damn planet can stop you, ladies and gentlemen. It doesn't matter whether you wanna be an astronaut, it doesn't matter whether you wanna be an entomologist, it doesn't matter whether you wanna be a bronc rider at RODEOHOUSTON, ladies and gentlemen. Do what you love and do it as hard as you can, and do it with passion and do it your way, because no one can stop you”.
Post Malone is currently gearing up for his eagerly anticipated Big Ass Stadium Tour with Jelly Roll and Sierra Ferrell, with the expansive run kicking off on April 29th in Salt Lake City, Utah.
