Morgan Wallen has shared the official artwork for his new single, ‘Love Somebody’, with the long-teased, uptempo offering set to be be made available on Friday, October 18th.
As the release date inches closer for ‘Love Somebody’, the excitement continues to build, with the breezy, summery anthem serving as our first dose of new music from Morgan Wallen since the stormy ‘Lies, Lies, Lies’ dropped back in early July.
The cover art for ‘Love Somebody’, which finds the Sneedville megastar crooning forlornly about his bad luck with relationships across a retro, 80‘s-leaning instrumental, has now been revealed via the Universal Music pre-save link for the forthcoming track.
The newly shared visuals capture the sun-soaked, coastal feel of the track, with the artwork featuring a shot of the back of Morgan Wallen's head as he stares wistfully off into the sunset. Palm trees line the horizon, with the ‘Love Somebody’ text scrawled across the bottom-right corner in a layered, neon, disco-inspired font.
First teased back on May 16th, coinciding with the start of the 2024 ACM Awards, fans have been clamouring for Morgan Wallen to drop ‘Love Somebody’ for months now.
Thankfully, the moment is almost upon us, with ‘Love Somebody’ the latest indication that Morgan Wallen is gearing up for a new album announcement. The ‘Last Night’ chart-topper confirmed the ‘Love Somebody’ release date during his momentous double-header at Knoxville's Neyland Stadium last month, with some suspecting he might use this occasion to launch his next studio record.
We're still waiting for details of his keenly awaited One Thing At A Time follow-up, but the project is expected to include previously teased tracks such as ‘I Guess’, ’Good to See You Smile’ and ‘Come Back as a Redneck’, alongside ’Lies, Lies, Lies’ and ‘Love Somebody’.
