Morgan Wallen pled guilty to two misdemeanor charges of reckless endangerment during his plea hearing on Thursday (Dec. 12).
He has been sentenced to serve seven days in a DUI education center with two years of supervised probation to follow.
Wallen was originally charged with three felony counts of reckless endangerment and one count of disorderly conduct, having been accused of throwing a chair off the top of Eric Church's six-story Chief's Bar on Broadway in Nashville, Tennessee this past April. The chair supposedly landed near two Metro officers on the street below. The initial charges were reduced just ahead of the Thursday hearing.
According to Wallen's legal representation, attorney Worrick Robinson, the artist "has cooperated fully with authorities throughout these last eight months, directly communicating and apologizing to all involved."
In his statement, Robinson added that following the completion of his probation, Wallen would be eligible to have his charges dismissed and expunged.
The hearing lasted just 10 minutes and Wallen was quickly escorted from the premises without a statement.
Wallen is currently on hiatus from performing live, having concluded his record-breaking One Night At A Time World Tour this past October. Since then, he has been awarded CMA's Entertainer of the Year and been named one of Spotify's Top Five most streamed artists in the US.
