During his packed-out BST Hyde Park 2024 performance on Thursday night (July 4th), Morgan Wallen performed his new song, ‘Lies, Lies, Lies’, for the first time in front of a UK crowd.
In many ways, the song serves as a symbol of Morgan's burgeoning relationship with his friends across The Pond, with the ‘Thought You Should Know’ singer-songwriter first recording ‘Lies, Lies, Lies’ as part of his acclaimed Abbey Road Sessions project, which was put together at the UK's iconic London studio.
Emphasising this is the fact that Morgan Wallen decided to release ‘Lies, Lies, Lies’ - at long last - on July 5th, the day after his spellbinding BST Hyde Park 2024 performance, which has earned the status of being the biggest country concert in UK history.
Morgan Wallen's enchanting rendition of ‘Lies, Lies, Lies’ at Hyde Park took place during the much-loved acoustic section of his sprawling One Night At A Time setlist, with the Sneedville hitmaker cutting through the crowd to emerge on the B-stage out in the middle of fans that weren't able to snag any coveted Gold Circle tickets.
It highlighted Morgan Wallen's keenness to ensure every corner of the venue could texperience him performing relatively up-close, with Morgan performing ‘Thought You Should Know’, ‘Cover Me Up’, ’Sand in My Boots’ and ’Lies, Lies, Lies’ on the B-stage.
‘Lies, Lies, Lies’, with its simmering, brooding accompaniment and Morgan's angsty, captivating delivery, was one of the numerous stand-out moments from his blockbuster set, serving as the perfect appetiser ahead of hearing the studio version at midnight.
Elsewhere during Morgan Wallen's BST Hyde Park performance, ERNEST joined forces with his buddy and collaborator for a live-wire duet of their current single, ’Cowgirls’.
