Morgan Wallen surprised the crowd at the first night of his Las Vegas double-header by bringing out his good friend, Jelly Roll, for an electric, high-energy rendition of ‘Cowgirls’.
Originally released with ERNEST - a frequent collaborator with both Morgan Wallen and Jelly Roll - ‘Cowgirls’ recently become Morgan's 14th No. 1 at Country Radio.
Jelly Roll certainly did the genre-fusing, trap-infused anthem justice, with the ‘Need a Favor’ hitmaker taking the helm for ERNEST's verse, before launching into the uptempo chorus. His signature rasp added a newfound grit to the track, with Jelly and Morgan's chemistry endearingly radiating throughout their joint performance.
It served as one of the many highlights in Morgan Wallen's blockbuster set, which also featured spellbinding performances of colossal hits such as ‘I Had Some Help’, ‘More Than My Hometown’, ‘Last Night’, ‘Whiskey Glasses’, ‘Chasin’ You’, ‘You Proof’ and more.
Earlier in the evening, Jelly Roll treated the packed-out audience at Sin City's Allegiant Stadium to another special guest, bringing out his buddy MGK for ‘Need a Favor’ and ‘Lonely Road’.
The duo released the latter in July, with the John Denver-interpolating track seemingly acting as another major step into country music from MGK, following his cover of Zach Bryan's ‘Sun to Me’ and an unexpected appearance at CMA Fest earlier in the year.
Morgan Wallen will take the stage this evening (August 9) for his second show in Las Vegas, with the Sneedville megastar bringing Bailey Zimmerman, Nate Smith and Ella Langley with him as openers. Bailey will most likely replace Jelly for Morgan's ’Cowgirls’ duet.
