Morgan Wallen has been confirmed as a headliner for the 2024 instalment of Carolina Country Music Fest. In addition, the 2024 dates for the festival have been unveiled as June 6-9.
The 2023 edition recently closed its gates, following a packed-out weekend featuring eye-catching performances from the likes of Miranda Lambert, Kenny Chesney, HARDY and more.
Morgan Wallen was originally set to take the stage at this year's Carolina Country Music Fest, but was forced to withdraw from the bill due to sustaining a vocal chord injury in May, and was swiftly replaced by Kenny Chesney, who performed on Saturday, June 10.
Wallen has since been cleared by his team of doctors to resume his tour later in June, with a series of tour dates and festival appearances having been postponed in the meantime.
Many ticket-holders at Carolina Country Music 2023 were left bitterly disappointed by Morgan Wallen's departure from the line-up, but they were given a welcome surprise during the event.
Towards the start of the four-day festival, a drone display spelled out the words, ‘2024...Morgan Wallen’ in the night sky, leaving attendees to wildly whoop and cheer at the news they'd been hoping for.
Although fans will now face a year's worth of anticipation before they'll get to see the ‘Last Night’ hitmaker take the stage at Carolina Country Music Fest 2024, Wallen's set is sure to be well worth the wait.
As a result of Morgan Wallen's announcement that he'd been placed on a six-week period of vocal rest back in May, the Sneedville chart-topper also had to pull out of Gulf Coast Jam 2023. Similarly to Carolina Country Music Fest, Morgan Wallen will be making up for his absence with a 2024 headlining appearance at the Floridian festival.
When Morgan Wallen ends his touring hiatus on June 22 in Chicago, Illinois, fans will be hoping he performs his latest release, an electric, genre-blending collaboration with his good friend, Lil Durk, ‘Stand By Me’. The rapper recently teased a full-length joint album with Morgan Wallen, which now appears to be underway.
