Morgan Wallen has confirmed his doctors have officially removed him from vocal rest, with the chart-topping singer-songwriter cleared to resume his tour in Chicago on June 22.
On May 9, Wallen was forced to postpone all dates until this Chicago tour-stop, after he re-injured his vocal chords during a run of shows in Florida. Over the past few weeks, the Sneedville megastar has been on vocal rest, with many fans concerned that Wallen would have to push back his return if his injury had still not fully healed by the end of this period.
Thankfully, ticket-holders need fear no more, as Morgan Wallen shared a smiling photo to his Instagram story, with the caption ‘Also, the doc cleared me to talk and sing...we back’.
Although he's now been cleared, his originally booked dates in Virginia and Pennsylvania over the next couple of weeks have already been postponed and rescheduled. Therefore, Morgan Wallen's first show back will still be his June 22 date in Chicago, Illinois.
This week, Wallen celebrated his ninth week at the pinnacle of the Billboard Hot 100 with ‘Last Night’ now becoming the year's longest-running No. 1 on the prestigious chart.
With news of the ‘You Proof’ hitmaker's clearance arriving as CMA Fest celebrations begin to get underway, some attendees may be hoping Morgan Wallen will make an appearance during the Nashville festival, perhaps during HARDY's Nissan Stadium performance.
However, this seems highly unlikely, especially given the levels of anticipation that have now built for Morgan Wallen's Chicago return. Wallen is currently on vacation in the islands with his good buddy and ‘Man Made A Bar’ collaborator, Eric Church. Church is due to perform at CMA Fest - but again, we imagine Wallen will not be joining him in Nashville.
But who knows! While we keep our eye out for any sightings of Morgan Wallen in Music City over the next few days, here are ten must-see moments that are certainly going to occur at CMA Fest 2023.
