As the nominees for the 2023 ACM Awards were unveiled today, country hitmakers Midland were confirmed among the crop of talent set to be in contention at the star-studded event.
The trio - comprised of Mark Wystrach, Jess Carson and Cameron Duddy - earned a nod for Group of the Year, alongside some of the usual suspects, Lady A, Little Big Town, Old Dominion and Zac Brown Band.
Since the release of their 2022 project, The Last Resort: Greetings From, Midland have been busy on the road both stateside and across The Pond, with the band delivering a showstopping set at the UK and Ireland's 2023 C2C Festival in March.
The 'Drinkin' Problem' crooners have enjoyed success with their most recent single, 'Longneck Way To Go,' featuring Jon Pardi, with the group being nominated for 2023 CMT Collaborative Video of the Year for the rousing duet. Though the award was ultimately handed out to HARDY and Lainey Wilson for the stirring 'wait in the truck,' Midland and Pardi did take the stage ahead of the ceremony to perform their collaboration on the red carpet.
Looking ahead to the rest of 2023, Midland will play a recently announced headlining show at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre on October 14 and will even take to the sea on 'The Last Resort Cruise,' which will set sail in April 2024.
They will also provide support for Pardi and Eric Church, and are on the bill for a handful of festivals this summer, including BackCountry Festival, Country Thunder Arizona and more.
The 58th Annual ACM Awards will stream live on Amazon Prime Video from Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas on May 11.
