After her night 1 show in Athens, Georgia on April 4th, Megan Moroney jumped in to help out the venue’s cleaning crew as they brushed up the carpet of blue and white confetti from Moroney’s finale.
Donning her ‘hot girl hoof’ UGG boots and a UGA football jersey, the ‘Tennessee Orange’ singer-songwriter ran from backstage shouting “anybody got a broom”, her surname sparkling on her back as she almost rolled her ankle in all the excitement.
“I got the last broom they had,” she laughed as she attempted to push empty cups and scattered confetti into a dustpan, “I see why they wouldn’t pick this one”. Half the size of the rest of the team, Moroney’s broom’s functionality left a lot to be desired. Fellow artist, Bryce Leatherwood, commented on the Instagram clip, “that’s not a broom, that’s a br…”
Working smarter, not harder, Moroney jumped on an industrial sweeper, steering it around the floor to pick up the remnants of her show. Not too dissimilar to her prank on Kenny Chesney at the end of his Sun Goes Down tour, Moroney drove the green sweeper around like a professional…it just needed Chesney’s ‘She Thinks My Tractor’s Sexy’ playing in the background. Country music star Dasha playfully commented, “Megan Zambroney” while fans praised Moroney’s kind personality and said that “we made the right person famous”.
A night full of surprises, Moroney also treated fans to a special moment before her last song. From backstage, Moroney – a Georgia native, UGA alum and proud Dogs fan – led the crowd in the classic call and response Bulldogs chant, before finishing on the titular track, ‘Am I Okay’.
Megan Moroney’s Am I Okay tour continues to run throughout the rest of 2025, along with her keenly awaited CMA Fest headline slot in June, before wrapping in Dallas, Texas in October.
