Megan Moroney has unveiled her keenly awaited sophomore album, Am I Okay? The project is set to arrive on July 12th, and will feature previously released singles, ‘No Caller ID’ and ‘28th of June’, along with ‘Indifferent’, which drops tomorrow (May 3rd).
After sharing a series of blue-tinged Easter eggs teasing the fact that new music is on the horizon, the Georgia prodigy has confirmed fans’ suspicions by revealing the official release date and title for her hotly anticipated Lucky follow-up.
Taking to Instagram, Megan Moroney underlined her excitement at the prospect of releasing her second record, sharing, “MY SOPHOMORE ALBUM “AM I OKAY?” IS OUT JULY 12TH!!! wowowow i can’t believe it’s happening again already”.
She touched on the creative process behind Am I Okay?, with the project being mainly written on the road, “my debut album came out 362 days ago & i’ve spent the past year doing nothing but touring, writing this record & basically living in the studio getting it ready for y’all. i love these songs SO much & i can’t wait for you to hear them!”.
As well as ‘No Caller ID’, ‘28th of June’ and ‘Indifferent’, we're hoping the ‘Tennessee Orange’ hitmaker includes the unreleased fan-favourite, ‘Man on the Moon’ on the Am I Okay? tracklist. Megan Moroney has been performing the playful, light-hearted song during her 2024 tour, with listeners clamouring for it to be made available.
Expectations are undoubtedly high heading into the Am I Okay? rollout, especially given the immense and well-deserved success of Megan Moroney's debut project, Lucky, in 2023. However, judging by the calibre of songs Megan has been releasing in the lead-up to the album, we think it's safe to say she'll deliver once again.
