Megan Moroney announced her first-ever fragrance, “Calliope”, via social mediatoday. Moroney joins fellow female country megastars who have also launched their own perfumes, such as Dolly Parton, Faith Hill, Shania Twain and, more recently, Ella Langley.
Moroney's socials post features a short, ethereal promotional video of whispers on streets and gazes at ancient Greek statues, all with Moroney’s relatively recent rebrand to ‘Cloud 9’ pink peeking through her nails and the perfume bottle itself.
Moroney has shared link for pre-order, which takes fans directly to where they can now shop the new fragrance, with the promotional headline reading “Introducing Calliope, the debut fragrance by Megan Moroney – Unforgettable from the First Whisper.”
Moroney, who has been a pioneer for female country heartbreak songs and capturing memories of those loved and lost through her hit albums such as Am I Okay? and Cloud 9, uses this element of her work for the marketing of the perfume, where the bottle is pictured shaped like a heart shattering with silver lining patching it right back up.
The site, which reads “Calliope – Synonyms: magnetic, romantic, memorable” pulls at themes of Greek mythology and describes the scent as “A captivating floral musk with an irresistible pull, created to become part of the moments and memories that stay with us.”
Fans have already responded to the announcement extremely well, with Moroney’s Instagram comments stating, “Take my money!” and “Can’t wait to wear this every day!”
