Megan Moroney has revealed that her debut album, Lucky, will be released on May 5.
Fans won't have to wait that long before they can hear new music from the Georgia native, though, as the title-track will be made available on March 10.
Earlier in the year, Megan Moroney played a show at Nashville's Electric Jane, during which she performed a series of unreleased tracks, one of which was ‘Lucky’.
The song was an instant hit with attendees, and fans will be eagerly awaiting the chance to hear the full studio version on March 10.
Given the theme of luck and Moroney's frequent use of the ‘four leaf clover’ emoji, some thought she might release ‘Lucky’ a week later on St. Patrick's Day.
Luke Combs’ decision to drop his own clover-themed single, ‘5 Leaf Clover’, on the Irish holiday may well have deterred Moroney from opting for the same release date.
Either way, if it means we get to hear ‘Lucky’ a week early, we're not complaining.
While the tracklist for Moroney's new record remains under wraps, fans are hoping previously teased songs such as ‘Why Johnny’, ‘Georgia Girl’, ‘Traitor Joe’ and ‘Girl in the Mirror’ all make the cut.
As she readies her debut album, the ‘Tennessee Orange’ hitmaker continues to be championed as one of the most exciting new voices in country music, having recently received a deserved inclusion as one of CMT's Next Women of Country 2023.
