Luke Grimes will release his hotly anticipated self-titled debut album on March 8th 2024, with the Yellowstone star treating fans to a new track from the upcoming project, ‘God And A Girl’.

The 13-song record will include previously shared fan-favourites such as ‘Burn’, ‘Playin’ On The Tracks’, ‘Ghost Of Who We Were’, ‘Oh Ohio’, ‘No Horse To Ride’ and ‘Ain't Dead Yet’.

In addition, the album's tracklist includes Luke Grimes’ celebrated Foy Vance cover, ‘Hold On’, which the singer-songwriter released in April 2023, before dropping a blockbuster duet version of the much-loved folk song alongside Vance himself.

Speaking ahead of the unveiling, Luke Grimes outlined his aspirations for the new project, “I’ve spent the last couple of years trying my best to make something that I would be proud to put into the world. Now, all I can hope for is that it finds a few people to connect to and it makes them feel like they aren’t going through all of this alone. That’s what my favorite music has always done for me”.

The new song, ‘God And A Girl’, finds Luke Grimes stepping back into the shoes of his angsty, introspective Yellowstone character, Kayce Dutton, with Grimes praising his lover for helping him overcome his demons through the faith she helped instil.

Luke Grimes’ weathered, world-weary vocals stagger charismatically across a sparse, steel-guitar-driven instrumental, with the song building out emphatically as it progresses.

Excitingly, along with the tracks that are already available to stream, fans can look forward to hearing an array of unreleased songs on Luke Grimes, including ‘Black Powder’, ‘What Angels Do’, ‘Wait For The Rain To Die Down’, ‘South On 75’ and ‘Worst Of Me’.

For the full lyrics to Luke Grimes’ new song, ‘God And A Girl’, see below:

“She said ‘Quit hiding from me, I wanna see who you are
Show me the tattoos and scars on your heart
The roads you been down, the habits you kicked
The man in the mirror that you hate living with’

Wasn't scared of the walls I built to protect me
She knew where I was and that's right where she met me

She leads me to Jesus, loves me like hell
Keeps me believing in more than myself
She picks up the pieces, turns down the demons
I finally found what I never knew that I'd need in this world
God and a girl

I tell her bout days chasing highs to come down
And hitting rock bottom just to find solid ground
Til God shed some light on
This broke down and blinded
Man that I was before our worlds collided

She wasn't scared of the walls I built to protect me
She knew where I was and that's right where she met me

She leads me to Jesus, loves me like hell
Keeps me believing in more than myself
She picks up the pieces, turns down the demons
And I found what I never knew that I'd need in this world
God and a girl

She points to the cross when the weight of my sins
Are pulling me under and my faith's wearing thin
She holds onto me, puts her hope in red letters
Says you tried all the highs, well I got one that's better

Wasn't scared of the walls I built to protect me
She knew where I was and that's right where she met me

She leads me to Jesus, loves me like hell
Keeps me believing in more than myself
Yeah, she picks up the pieces, turns down the demons
And I finally found what I never knew I'd need in this world
God and a girl
I'd need in this world
God and a girl”
