After dropping his brand new album, Gettin’ Old, last month, Luke Combs is keeping his foot down on the gas with a new tour and a plethora of 2023 ACM Awards nominations.
The North Carolina superstar has received nods in the categories for Male Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Artist-Songwriter of the Year and - the big one - Entertainer of the Year.
Combs lost out to fellow country titan, Miranda Lambert, at last year's ACM Awards, with Lambert taking home the coveted Entertainer of the Year trophy for the first time.
Luke Combs was also nominated for the 2022 ACM Male Artist of the Year, but was again usurped by ‘Tennessee Whiskey’ hitmaker Chris Stapleton. Combs will be hoping for a more fruitful 2023 ACM Awards ceremony, with the singer-songwriter currently riding high following the widespread acclaim Gettin’ Old has been receiving.
In addition to his four artist-based nominations, Luke Combs has received an extra nod as a producer in the Album of the Year category.
An Album of the Year award is being given not only to the artist behind it, but also the producer or producers as well as the label.
Alongside Cole Swindell and Kane Brown, Luke Combs has received the second-most 2023 ACM Awards nominations out of any male artist, with all three trailing HARDY's impressive seven nods.
If Luke Combs proves successful in his 2023 ACM Entertainer of the Year title challenge, he'll also take home the prestigious Triple Crown Award.
This is given to an act when they have triumphed in their respective New Artist of the Year and Artist of the Year categories, with the prized Entertainer of the Year win completing the trio.
