The ACM Entertainer of the year is Luke Bryan.

This is now the third time Bryan has taken home this coveted trophy - unfortunately he wasn’t able to collect the award in person, after testing positive for Covid-19 earlier in the week.

This also ruled him out of performing on the night as well. The award is the biggest competitive category at the awards ceremony.

Previous winners include Garth Brooks who has won the award a record six times, Alabama and Carrie Underwood, with the first winner being Merle Haggard in 1970.

Last year, the ACM’s made history when the first ever tie occurred between Carrie Underwood and Thomas Rhett.

All the nominees for Entertainer of the Year were scheduled to perform at the awards ceremony, however Luke Bryan unfortunately had to withdraw earlier in the week due to a positive covid test.
